Diced potatoes

Diced potatoes, used as bait, are made out of fresh yellowish potatoes, that are not boiled completely when being cooked, since the bait must hold to the hook firmly and must not fall apart hitting the water surface. Potatoes are boiled in salted water until almost ready and then cooled. Cubes around one centimeter in size are attached to the hook. Hair rigs may be used optionally. Being very rich in starch, potato is thus a good bait for many species of carp. Large carp, common carp, bighead carp and grass carp can enjoy it. Diced potatoes attract bream as well, but only large specimens.
